For bar staff and team members
Checks are quick to complete, with the steps built in, so more of each shift goes on serving customers.
Trail gives your bar team a clear list of checks for every shift and keeps a timestamped record of each one.
Cellar, food safety and licensing records ready for inspection
The same standard behind the bar on every shift
Every pub's check visible from anywhere
Log cellar temperatures against your target range, and schedule line cleans, gas checks and keg rotation. Connect Infogrid sensors and cellar temperatures are recorded automatically.
Keep refusals logs, incident reports and door staff sign-ins in Trail, each with a name and a time. When a licensing officer asks, export the records for any date range as a PDF.
Closing checks run in order, from glass washers to the final lock-up.
Kitchen temperatures, allergen records and cleaning schedules sit alongside your bar checks, so pubs that serve food keep every record in one place.
Outdoor areas, toilets and fire exits are checked at set times, with photos when something needs attention.
Shifts that run in order: checks grouped into Before Open, Morning, Afternoon and Close, and assigned by role
Proof of the work: photo fields that can be set to camera only, so every image is taken in the moment
A named record on shared devices: six-digit PIN sign-off behind the bar
Problems followed up: out-of-range readings and failed checks can require a corrective action, linked back to the original check
Repairs raised from the task: log an equipment fault and raise an Access Maintain callout without leaving Trail
Records ready for any visit: PDF export with photos embedded, labelled and timestamped
Checks are quick to complete, with the steps built in, so more of each shift goes on serving customers.
See what's done and what's still to do without asking around. Access failed checks to see what was done about them.
Every pub works to your standards, and every check has a named, timestamped record behind it, so you can prove compliance whenever you're asked.
Set your checks once and assign them to every pub, or to groups of sites by area. Every team works to the same steps, wherever they are.
One set of checks for every format: conditional logic adapts the same task to a community local, a city centre bar or a late-night venue
Every pub in view from anywhere: a daily score out of ten for each site, with a traffic light view across your estate
Progress you can track: a 30-day trend shows how each pub's scores are changing over time

Yes, with Infogrid sensors. Readings go straight into your Trail temperature records, so your team doesn't have to take them by hand. If a reading is out of range, Trail flags it.
Trail doesn't manage your licence, but it records the checks your licence conditions ask for, such as refusals, incidents and door staff sign-ins. Every entry has a name and a time, and you can export any date range as a PDF when a licensing officer or EHO visits.
Yes. Closing checks can require photos, and on the Standard plan, PIN sign-off and location recording show who completed each check and whether they were on site.
Trail doesn't have a native EPOS integration. It connects to thousands of tools through Zapier, so if your EPOS is on Zapier, you may be able to link the two.
No. You pay per site, and every plan includes unlimited users, so part-time and seasonal staff cost nothing extra.
Yes. Once the day's tasks have loaded, your team can keep working without a signal. Offline, they can complete checks, log readings, add comments, mark tasks as done and snooze tasks. Trail syncs everything when the device reconnects, and each task keeps the time it was actually completed.
A few things need a connection. The day's tasks have to load while the device is online, and photos, file attachments and admin settings only work online. Each device also needs to sync at least once a day. If it doesn't sync before that day's site score is calculated, tasks completed offline will count as missed in the score.
Trail runs in any browser, so there's nothing to download. Your team can pin it to the home screen of a phone or tablet and use it like an app, on their own device or a shared one behind the bar.
